Hillary Clinton vs. Barak Obama
Clinton and Obama have a unique opportunity.  If either of them can beat
Senator McCain next fall, we will have achieved a first - either a woman or a
black man in the White House.  It is certainly probable that many
Americans will enter the voting booth this year and ponder this chance to
make history.

But Christians should look deeper into such issues, and never be deceived
by outward appearances.  The Clinton camp would have us believe that
Senator Obama is an un-American radical - and his "pastor" has certainly
helped them to this end.  The supporters of Obama want us to see Senator
Clinton as an establishment figure who won't bring change.  But change in
which direction?

Careful believers should be able to see past the rhetoric to the reality.  Both
of these Senators are humanistic socialists who will work to increase the
civil government's control over the church, the family and the individual.
Their actual policy positions are virtually indistinguishable.  Whether you
choose the African-American or the woman, what you will get is a third Bill
Clinton term.

Biblically speaking, there is no reason why a black man can't hold any
position as a civil magistrate.  A woman, however, is not qualified for such a
post - and it is a sign of God's cursing on our nation that we are under
effeminate rulers:

O My people! Their oppressors are children,
And women rule over them
O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray
And confuse the direction of your paths.
    Isaiah 3:12

No woman is qualified to rule over men.  And neither the war-mongering,
nation-building Republicrats nor the abortion-loving Democans deserve any
Christian's vote.

Of course, the greater reason not to vote for such candidates is that the
United States government is constituted on an anti-Christian basis.  Our
founding fathers rejected the Solemn League and Covenant, which binds all
of the English-speaking nations to Christendom.  In the place of Christ,
they set up "we the People" as King.  Sadly, we continue to reap the fallout
of their rebellion.

Secular pluralism is not God's plan for this age.  Indeed, He expects the
Gentile nations to turn to Christ and obey Him in their official, political
capacities:

In that day five cities in the land of Egypt will be speaking the language of
Canaan and swearing allegiance to the LORD of hosts...
  Isaiah 18:19a

Voting for any candidate in a godless democrazy is simply rearranging deck
chairs on a sinking ship.
